About Me

Here's more than you probably want to know about me...

Hi, Welcome. You found me. I'm Ms. Raquel Febles. I teach Language Arts, Reading, and Literature here at the Titans territory, Nova Middle School.

I've been working as a teacher for eleven years -yes, I know long time, but I am hanging there. I was born in Puerto Rico. I studied my B.S. in Secondary Education with a Minor in English at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. In 2003, I completed my M.A. in TESOL at the same institution. I taught five years in Puerto Rico. I moved to United States and presently I am working here in Davie, Florida.

I teach Developmental ESOL Through Reading, which non English Speakers learn how to become strategic readers. I also teach Language Arts, which students will learn English skills to succeed. In addition, I teach Literature, which it represents a language or a people: culture and tradition. This class is for students to learn to appreciate the written works of different writers.
